Role Overview:
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in data-driven decision-making for customer-facing functions at Dayforce. Your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data visualization will help uncover insights from complex datasets, facilitating strategic decisions and optimizing operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for data within specific business functions, collaborating to define requirements, KPIs, and data sources.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineers and Integration Engineers to ensure accurate data integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Data Quality and Compliance: Partner with Data Governance teams to uphold data quality and compliance standards.
- Advanced Analytics: Design and implement machine learning models, AI algorithms, and other analytical models to solve business problems and support automation.
- Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models, including star schemas and KPI calculations using SQL, DAX, or T-SQL.
- Documentation: Develop thorough documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and entity relationship diagrams.
- Continuous Optimization: Improve data models, analytics pipelines, and reporting frameworks for enhanced accuracy and scalability.
- Industry Awareness: Keep current with trends in data analysis, AI/ML, and data visualization to incorporate best practices.
Skills and Experience:
- Technical Expertise: Advanced skills in SQL and DAX, with experience in Power BI for data visualization.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong critical thinking skills for translating data into actionable insights.
- Experience with Enterprise Software: Familiarity with platforms like Salesforce and NetSuite is advantageous.
- Data Platforms and Tools: Experience with data platforms such as Power BI, Azure Synapse, and SQL Server.
- ML and Predictive Analytics: Knowledge of optimization, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years in data analysis or a similar role, with hands-on experience in AI/ML techniques.
- Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with Python or R for data transformation is preferred.
