Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Analyst I/II (Finance) is to assist in managing various financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, reconciliations, and report preparation. The position emphasizes optimizing operational efficiency, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective coordination with geographically dispersed teams.
Key Responsibilities
As an Analyst I/II (Finance), your duties will include:
Accounts Payable and Receivable Processing:
- Accurately process transactions while adhering to client policies and regulations.
Reconciliations:
- Conduct regular reconciliations of client and supplier accounts, bank statements, and other financial data to maintain error-free records.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Address and resolve queries from various stakeholders effectively.
Report Preparation:
- Compile and prepare different management reports, both periodic and ad hoc, for internal and external use.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist senior finance personnel in preparing financial summaries, reports, and statements.
Month-End and Year-End Closures:
- Support the finance team in completing month-end and year-end processes within specified timelines.
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for enhancing process efficiency and quality.
Discrepancy Management:
- Identify and escalate any discrepancies while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Confidentiality and Compliance:
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Service Level Agreements (SLAs):
- Ensure client SLAs and timelines are consistently met to maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- A graduate in Commerce or Management (e.g., B.Com, BBA).
- Alternatively, non-commerce graduates with “accounting” as an elective in Class XII.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Excel skills are mandatory for this role.
Languages:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Work Experience
- Experience Level: 1-4 years in finance and accounting, with a preference for shared services environments.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Exceptional numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, especially in handling queries via calls and emails.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
