Role Overview

The Senior Project Engineer will play a crucial role in leading complex projects in the Turbomachinery and Process Solutions (TPS) sector, including upstream, downstream, and power generation applications. This involves overseeing new installations for greenfield projects, as well as equipment upgrades in brownfield projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relations and Communication: Serve as the main technical contact for customers, ensuring project requirements and specifications are fully met.
  • Project Execution: Coordinate design, quality assurance, and project management teams to ensure smooth project execution, delivering high-quality outcomes on time.
  • Technical and Design Leadership: Lead design reviews, technical assessments, and customer meetings, ensuring customer needs are incorporated into solutions.
  • Document Management: Oversee the submission of technical drawings and project documentation in compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Quality Control: Work closely with the Project Quality Manager to develop and follow quality control plans, engaging with customers and third parties to resolve issues.
  • Issue Resolution: Develop action plans to address and resolve technical issues, ensuring clear accountability and timelines.
  • Budget Management: Control engineering hours and budget for assigned projects.
  • Resource and Productivity Management: Allocate resources efficiently to meet project and financial KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautic, or Chemical preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years in oil and gas engineering roles, with experience in project management, system engineering, or design engineering.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with gas and steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, and industry standards such as API, ASME, and FMEA.
  • CAD and Software Proficiency: Familiarity with 3D CAD tools and MS Office, MS Project, and MRP software.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt is required.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (knowledge of Italian is an advantage).
