About the Job:
As a Data Analyst at Kwalee, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of free-to-play Casual and Hybrid Casual mobile games by utilizing your analytical skills to optimize in-game features and enhance player experiences. Your insights will not only influence game design but also help Kwalee’s games reach new heights in terms of player engagement and overall performance.
You’ll be responsible for analyzing player interactions, designing and conducting A/B testing experiments, and building automated data visualization dashboards that provide real-time insights to development, management, and data science teams. This role is crucial for the continuous improvement of our games, ensuring that players stay engaged and entertained.
The Product Team you’ll join collaborates closely with stakeholders both within and outside Kwalee to build a backlog of game features that maximize Key Performance Indicator (KPI) impact. You'll also work with our Mobile Publishing team, a dynamic international group focused on creating seamless gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Visualization:
Analyze and interpret complex datasets to understand relationships between game elements, player engagement, and marketing strategies. Visualize this data to inform strategic decisions through clear and impactful Looker dashboards.A/B Testing & Experiment Design:
Develop experiments and A/B testing plans to investigate how different game features influence player behavior, retention, and monetization. Work with both internal and external development teams to ensure that data-driven strategies are effectively implemented.In-Depth Data Insights:
Regularly provide actionable recommendations derived from in-depth data analysis. Use this information to help shape features, optimize game economies, and drive key game metrics like retention, engagement, and monetization.Predictive Modeling & Forecasting:
Build predictive models to anticipate future trends in player behavior, retention, and monetization. Your models will help forecast how players interact with the game and provide key insights that guide the development of new features.Customer Segmentation:
Define customer segments based on behavioral data, providing the product teams with a deeper understanding of the player base and helping make more informed decisions about game development.Collaborative Communication:
Communicate your findings clearly and effectively to development, management, and data science teams, ensuring that the results of your analysis are well understood and actionable across the board.
What You’ll Need:
Proven Experience in Data Analytics:
Demonstrated success in using programmatic analysis tools to support data-driven strategies in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Your ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize data will be essential to driving Kwalee’s game development strategies.Strong Analytical Skills:
You should have a knack for diving deep into data to uncover insights, and a passion for figuring out the “why” behind player behavior. Your insights will help shape decisions across the company.Expertise with BI Tools:
Familiarity with Looker or similar BI tools is a must. You’ll need to be comfortable transforming raw data into narratives that can be easily understood and acted upon by non-technical stakeholders.Excellent Communication Skills:
The ability to convey complex ideas in a simple, understandable way is critical. You’ll need to regularly share insights and data-driven recommendations with cross-functional teams.
