About the Role: Data Analyst – Finance Capabilities (Global Supply Chain & Logistics Finance Team)
As a Data Analyst in Finance Capabilities, you will partner closely with the Global Supply Chain & Logistics (GSCL) Finance team to develop innovative reporting solutions that drive optimized decision-making. Your role will involve collaborating with global partners to collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources. You will also identify trends and patterns that help answer key business questions, uncover hidden opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.
You’ll build, automate, and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service data tools that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders across the organization. Curiosity, collaboration, and developing strong business acumen will be critical to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Preparation:
- Gather data from various sources, clean and wrangle it to make it usable for analysis.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the process.
Data Analysis & Insights:
- Use statistical methods to analyze data, identifying trends and opportunities that can inform business decisions.
- Leverage descriptive and basic inferential statistics to uncover insights that answer critical questions for Finance and the broader organization.
Reporting & Dashboards:
- Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports to provide stakeholders with accessible and actionable insights.
- Create self-service data solutions to support decision-making across teams.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with the GSCL Finance team and other departments to ensure the success and integrity of reporting solutions.
- Communicate your findings clearly, translating complex data into understandable insights that can be used by both technical and non-technical teams.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously look for ways to improve data collection, reporting processes, and overall business outcomes.
- Contribute to the overall data and reporting maturity of the team by building your understanding of business processes and objectives.
Job Requirements:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT, or a related analytical discipline is preferred. Equivalent experience is also considered.Experience:
1+ year of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in Financial Planning & Analysis or Supply Chain analytics. Strong academic performance in a quantitative field will also be valued.Technical Skills:
- SQL: Intermediate-level proficiency is required, with experience writing complex queries.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Excel, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, R, Power BI, Domo, Adobe Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud, or similar tools.
- Strong data mining skills, data consolidation, and data creation are key to this role.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to draw conclusions from data and support findings with clear, descriptive statistics and visualizations.
- Comfort with basic inferential statistics and applying them in business contexts.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders and vice versa.
- Willingness to ask insightful questions and drive conversations around business objectives and key results.
Global Collaboration:
- Experience working effectively with a global team is highly desirable, ensuring that reporting solutions meet the needs of a wide variety of stakeholders.
Working Hours:
Shift timings will be from 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST.
