Key Responsibilities
As an R2R Accountant, you’ll manage a range of responsibilities focused on operational excellence, process improvement, and stakeholder management.
1. Operational Excellence
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of all Record to Report activities, ensuring they align with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Lead daily R2R operations, managing resources and identifying knowledge gaps within the team to optimize efficiency.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on all R2R activities, supporting transparency and efficient workflow.
2. Process Improvement and Compliance
- Drive initiatives to enhance R2R processes, ensuring alignment with global standards and local legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the R2R Manager to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for effective and efficient process performance.
- Ensure all accounting practices adhere to necessary bookkeeping routines, VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory reporting requirements.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating a clear understanding of legal obligations and R2R accounting processes.
- Build productive relationships with cross-functional teams, reinforcing the importance of accurate accounting processes within the retail environment.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel as an R2R Accountant in this role, candidates should bring the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 5-8 years of accounting experience with solid knowledge of local legal requirements, particularly in the retail sector.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with team members and stakeholders effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Cadency, and a strong foundation in retail accounting principles.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
