Key Responsibilities
As a BDR at Zoom, you’ll play a vital role in expanding the company’s market reach and generating qualified leads. Below are the primary responsibilities you’ll take on:
Client Engagement: You’ll identify and develop relationships with potential clients at Commercial, Majors, and Enterprise levels, setting up initial meetings to introduce Zoom’s offerings.
Strategic Collaboration: Partnering with Account Executives, you’ll strategize on outbound approaches, share insights, and provide feedback to enhance the lead generation process.
High-Level Outreach: Conduct high-level conversations with senior executives to understand their needs and present Zoom’s solutions as valuable tools for their business goals.
Targeted Outreach Campaigns: Craft and execute personalized outreach campaigns via email and follow-up sequences to engage prospective clients.
CRM Management: Maintain and update Zoom’s Salesforce CRM with activities, contacts, and opportunities to ensure organized lead tracking and follow-up.
Product Evangelism: Share insights about Zoom’s product offerings, highlighting the platform’s capabilities across various accounts and territories.
Lead Research: Continuously research new leads and obtain contact information to target potential clients effectively.
Achieve Targets: Work toward achieving quarterly quotas for qualified meetings and lead conversions, demonstrating a consistent drive to meet sales goals.
Who We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates for the Business Development Representative position will bring experience, communication skills, and the drive to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment. Here’s what Zoom expects from applicants:
Industry Experience: At least 12 months of experience in outbound sales or lead prospecting, particularly within SaaS or Unified Communications, which enables you to understand client needs and approach prospects with relevant solutions.
Engagement Skills: A proven record of successfully engaging new clients through cold calls, emails, and social outreach. You should feel comfortable approaching new prospects and maintaining relationships with professionalism and persistence.
Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. This role requires you to engage effectively with senior executives, making complex solutions accessible to diverse audiences.
Detail-Oriented and Self-Driven: Successful candidates will have a keen eye for detail, a sense of responsibility, and the motivation to achieve set targets. You’ll need a proactive approach to managing and following up on leads.
Familiarity with Tools: Experience with MS Office, Google Workspace, Outreach, Lusha, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo will be advantageous, allowing you to work efficiently with Zoom’s preferred tech stack.
