The Role: Business Solutions Consultant
As a Business Solutions Consultant, you will play a critical role in identifying and assessing customer needs and designing efficient, holistic solutions that integrate seamlessly with their operational and financial requirements. You will collaborate closely with Amdocs clients, advising on suitable products and methodologies and guiding them in implementing the solutions. This position requires not only technical knowledge but also a customer-focused approach to ensure solutions align with client expectations and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Customer Requirements: Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs, gathering both business and technical requirements.
- Advise and Recommend: Offer expert advice to clients based on Amdocs products and capabilities, leveraging previous projects to maximize efficiency and product reuse.
- Design High-Level Solutions: Create high-level, integrated solutions tailored to customer requirements, considering operational feasibility and budget.
- Collaborative Reviews: Participate in and, in some cases, lead formal and informal review sessions with key stakeholders to ensure solutions align with client objectives.
- Communicate Solution Details: Effectively explain solution specifics and their potential impact on business operations to both business and IT personnel.
- Customer Support: Provide ongoing support during the scoping phase, helping clients through configuration and testing until the final customer sign-off.
- Documentation and Testing: Draft solution-related documents and specifications, and create and maintain comprehensive test plans for applicable tests.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively address any configuration or implementation issues that arise, ensuring that solutions remain effective and aligned with customer expectations.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or Industrial Engineering & Management with a focus on Information Systems.
- Customer-Facing Experience: Ability to present and communicate solutions through presentations, demos, and other methods to ensure clarity and alignment with client needs.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of relevant products and end-to-end business processes, along with a solid understanding of IT industry standards and Amdocs’ business processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Analytical Ability: High technical aptitude and a solid understanding of business processes to design and implement complex solutions.
