The Role: Associate Data Analyst
As an Associate Data Analyst on our Customer Experience (CX) team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we deliver top-tier service to our users worldwide. Your role will be essential in driving business impact through data, transforming raw information into actionable business insights, and helping improve customer experiences. This position allows you to work remotely, contributing to Coinbase’s mission from wherever you are.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve Customer Experience: Develop self-service tools and perform deep analyses to enhance customer interactions and deliver valuable insights.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with various stakeholders to manage and execute a long-term analytic roadmap that addresses both tactical and strategic needs.
- Data-Driven Solutions: Use data to identify opportunities for improving customer service, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Build Analytics Capabilities: Drive the adoption of self-service analytic tools and develop them at scale for the business.
- Problem Solving: Break down complex business problems and offer practical, data-backed solutions.
- Monitor Performance: Track key performance metrics and use data to drive meaningful performance improvements.
- Team Collaboration: Help foster a collaborative environment where innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged.

Required Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 2+ Years of Relevant Experience: Experience working with data analytics, particularly in a customer support or business environment.
- Advanced SQL Skills: Proficiency in SQL is a must, and experience with Python is a plus.
- Data Visualization: Experience using data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or QuickSight.
- Strong Communication Skills: You’ll need to communicate data insights clearly, especially to senior leadership.
- Collaborative Attitude: You’ll work with many cross-functional teams and should be skilled at securing inputs from various partners.
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically, analyze data, and implement solutions to solve business challenges.
Bonus Skills:
- Automation: Experience with report automation using Python or R.
- AWS and Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure.
- Statistics: Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Financial Industry Insight: Understanding of financial regulations and customer support data.
