Role Overview: Integrations Backend Engineer
As an Integrations Backend Engineer, you will be at the heart of LimeChat's technology ecosystem, designing and implementing backend architectures that ensure different systems and applications communicate effectively. This role involves API development, system architecture design, and database management. You’ll collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to create robust, scalable, and maintainable systems. By ensuring seamless integrations, you’ll directly impact LimeChat’s ability to deliver high-quality, AI-powered conversational experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture Design: Design and implement backend architectures that support scalability and maintainability.
- API Development and Integration: Develop and maintain high-quality RESTful APIs to ensure seamless communication between the frontend, backend, and third-party services.
- Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain database schemas while ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the frontend development team, product managers, and designers to plan and optimize features.
- Code Quality and Maintenance: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
Must-Have Skills
- Proficiency in Backend Languages: Expertise in at least one server-side programming language such as Python, Node.js, Go, or Ruby, and familiarity with frameworks like Django or Ruby on Rails.
- Database Management: Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and experience with database schema design and optimization.
- API Development: Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Git and Code Reviews: Familiarity with Git, code reviews, and coding standards.
- Debugging Skills: Exceptional debugging abilities, proficient in code analysis, performance optimization, and troubleshooting across diverse codebases.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications.
