Role Overview: Software Development Engineer I (Frontend)

As a Software Development Engineer I (Frontend) at WeRize, you will be a key contributor in building and maintaining high-performance web applications using React.js. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver dynamic and user-friendly frontend solutions. Your role will be critical in ensuring that WeRize's platforms are responsive, scalable, and provide a smooth user experience for customers across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Frontend Development: Develop and maintain high-performance, responsive web applications using React.js. You'll play a pivotal role in bringing product features to life by building clean and efficient code.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to implement new features and improve existing ones. Cross-functional collaboration is key to ensuring a seamless development process.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code, adhering to best practices in React.js and modern JavaScript development.
• Optimization: Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of web applications to deliver the best possible experience for users.
• Testing: Conduct unit testing and work with the QA team to ensure smooth releases. Testing will be essential to maintaining the reliability and functionality of the platform.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and issues promptly, ensuring that applications run smoothly.
• UI/UX Focus: Implement designs with a strong focus on user experience and usability. You will translate UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect frontends that offer intuitive interactions for users.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• React.js Experience: 1-2 years of hands-on experience with React.js and its core principles. You should be confident in building dynamic user interfaces using this powerful library.
• JavaScript Proficiency: Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. You should be familiar with the latest advancements in web development and how to apply them effectively.
• State Management: Experience with Redux, Context API, or other state management libraries. Efficient management of application state is crucial for ensuring smooth and responsive interactions.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration. You will work with the team to manage the codebase effectively, ensuring smooth coordination and feature development.
• Responsive Design: Solid understanding and experience with responsive design principles, ensuring that web applications look and work well on devices of all sizes.
