Role Overview

As a Data Analyst II, you will be a critical member of Brightly’s Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) Services team. Your primary focus will be to develop, test, and maintain embedded reports, dashboards, and charts in Power BI. This role combines technical expertise with a collaborative approach, supporting stakeholders across multiple functions to drive data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Report Development:

    • Convert legacy reports and build new ones using Power BI.
    • Generate business view calculated fields for BI tool access.
  2. End-User Support:

    • Assist users in creating ad-hoc reports and utilizing BI tools effectively.
  3. Documentation:

    • Maintain technical documentation for BI services, including data sources, logic, processes, and limitations.
  4. Collaboration:

    • Partner with stakeholders such as Product Management, Analytics, Design, and Data Cloud teams to meet reporting requirements.
  5. Change Management:

    • Follow reporting and data quality change control processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated with best practices in data governance and international data security issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel as a Data Analyst II at Brightly, you’ll need:

  • Educational Background:
    A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Programming, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • At least 2 years of experience in BI tool-based report generation (Power BI preferred, or tools like Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, SSRS, etc.).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including querying, joining data structures, database management, and variable creation for reports.
    • Strong skills in building intuitive, interactive dashboards and pixel-perfect reports.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team setting.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Governance Awareness:
    Willingness to learn and adhere to international data security protocols.
