Role Overview
As a Data Analyst I, you will engage in vital data analysis, quality assurance, and data formatting tasks, working with datasets critical to ICON’s healthcare and clinical research projects. Your responsibilities will include working with a variety of data formats and sources, ranging from Microsoft Access and Oracle DB to XML and fixed formats. You’ll leverage your expertise in data handling and analysis to support ICON’s clinical studies and provide valuable insights into Imaging & Cardiac Data.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties as a Data Analyst I will involve working closely with the team to ensure high standards of data integrity and accuracy. Here’s a closer look at the essential responsibilities:
1. Data Reconciliation and Forecasting
- Perform Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Data Reconciliation, particularly focusing on Imaging & Cardiac Data, using a variety of analytical tools.
- Conduct Data Forecasting specifically for Imaging & Cardiac studies, analyzing trends and predicting data patterns.
2. Quality Assurance
- Ensure the accuracy of Imaging & Cardiac Delivery files, conducting rigorous quality checks on each dataset.
- Perform quality assessments on Post-Read Imaging & Cardiac Data, maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity.
3. Team Training and Development
- Take responsibility for training team members on end-to-end data analysis processes, covering essential roles and responsibilities.
- Evaluate team members' performance, provide constructive feedback, and lead retraining initiatives where necessary.
4. Standard Operating Procedures and Audit Readiness
- Assist in creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data analysis tasks, establishing clear guidelines for all team members.
- Represent the team during internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, ICON is seeking candidates who bring both technical knowledge and industry experience. The ideal qualifications include:
- Experience: 2-3 years of data analysis experience, preferably within a clinical research or healthcare setting.
- Education: A graduate degree in Life Sciences, providing a strong foundation in understanding clinical and healthcare data.
- Skills: Proficiency in working with various data management tools and formats, along with a keen eye for quality assurance in data processes.
