About the Role

As a Data & Analytics Analyst at NatWest, you’ll play a crucial role in analyzing complex data to identify business issues and uncover opportunities. In this associate-level position, you’ll work on a variety of tasks ranging from data extraction and manipulation to data visualization and quality assurance. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in data-driven environments and enjoy problem-solving to meet dynamic business needs.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential as you:

  • Analyze and Visualize Data: Interpret large volumes of data to uncover business opportunities, create data visualizations, and challenge existing approaches for improvements.
  • Data Extraction and Processing: Perform data extraction, storage, manipulation, and processing to support NatWest’s analytics initiatives.
  • Support Solution Analysis: Identify and analyze potential solutions, selecting the most appropriate options to meet project needs and objectives.
  • Document and Validate Requirements: Capture and validate business and data requirements, ensuring alignment with NatWest’s strategic principles.
  • Maintain Traceability: Link business requirements to analytics outputs, ensuring accurate alignment and documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate data quality throughout the project, identifying inconsistencies and resolving them as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a strong background in business analysis tools and techniques, as well as the technical skills to extract, analyze, and visualize data. A keen attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to communicate effectively with various audiences are essential.

Other qualifications include:

  • Experience: At least five years of experience in data analytics or business analysis, with a background in reporting or MI (Management Information).
  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in Tableau or similar data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of SAS, SQL, or Python for data manipulation is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
