Job Summary

The Accountant will play a crucial role in independently managing various accounting functions, compiling data, and performing detailed financial analyses. This role requires hands-on involvement in manufacturing accounting, financial analysis, and decision support to enhance organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Accounting

  • Support decision-making processes for cost reduction projects.
  • Analyze cost variance and root causes.
  • Participate in book-closing activities and provide required inputs and reports to corporate stakeholders.
  • Monitor inventory metrics, including aging, surplus, and obsolescence, and ensure compliance with company guidelines.

Capital Management

  • Maintain accurate accounting for capital expenses in the Capital Management System (CMS).
  • Evaluate accounting papers for accuracy and GAAP compliance.
  • Review fixed asset records to ensure accuracy.

Financial Analysis

  • Conduct detailed analyses of profit-and-loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Advise internal customers on cost data accuracy and provide detailed commentary for leadership reports.
  • Utilize statistical tools to support strategic decision-making processes.

Decision Support

  • Assist management in project costing and budget forecasting.
  • Offer recommendations based on changing business scenarios.

Complex Staff Work

  • Prepare financial results analysis for senior management.
  • Represent the finance team in initiatives such as process documentation and presentations.
  • Offer technical guidance on complex accounting matters.

What Makes You the Ideal Candidate?

Qualifications

  • Certified Accountant (CA/CMA) with a college degree in accounting.
  • 3-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI, MM, and CO modules).
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and financial analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau.
