Key Responsibilities
1. Statutory Audit Management
- Support the complete statutory audit process, including engaging with auditors and preparing PBC schedules.
- Provide supporting documentation to auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, SOSE, and notes on accounting policies.
2. Accounting and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and US GAAP accounting standards, as well as government regulations.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end activities, including journal entries, forecasts, reconciliations, and financial reviews.
- Participate in regulatory audits by government bodies such as IRB, Customs, and National Statistics.
3. Technical and Advisory Roles
- Serve as a technical advisor on complex accounting issues, providing resolutions based on relevant standards.
- Support legal entity restructuring, eliminations, and new entity setup initiatives.
4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with cross-functional teams, including Tax, Legal, HR, and Procurement, to manage compliance deliverables.
- Lead global and local projects, as well as process improvement initiatives.
5. SAP S4 System Design and Implementation
- Support SAP S4 system solutions, including standardization and optimization of local statutory processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system configuration and testing.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting.
- Professional Accounting Qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA is mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a global or multinational organization.
- Experience managing external audits is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAP S4 is preferred.
Skills
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and with large teams across geographies.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
