Role Overview
The Sales Manager role in Singapore is essential to advancing Xylem’s growth and customer engagement strategies within the region. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding the market, and increasing customer loyalty through engineered solutions and services sales. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote and in-office work, providing an opportunity to actively shape sustainable water solutions in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development and Sales Growth: Develop and achieve sales goals for Singapore to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Market Expansion: Build and grow a customer base for Xylem’s products and services in the region.
- Engineered Systems Sales: Focus on services sales and manage ongoing business, supplemental services, and renewals at existing sites.
- Project Positioning and Closing: Proactively promote and close water services projects with customers across the territory.
- Customer Problem Solving: Use multiple Xylem products to provide innovative solutions to customer challenges.
- Product Launch Support: Participate in product launch campaigns and provide market insights for new product development.
- Strategic Account Building: Establish strong customer relationships, particularly at the executive level, to ensure long-term loyalty and solutions-based partnerships.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams in a matrixed environment, including Product Marketing and other departments, to create valuable customer propositions.
- Revenue and Bookings Goals: Consistently meet targets on revenue and bookings, and contribute to overall organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management, business development, or related fields.
- Strong skills in account management, with a focus on service sales and engineered solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to present multiple products and services to meet customer needs.
- Experience in managing strategic accounts and fostering executive-level customer relationships.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and engage with various functional groups.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Background in water, utilities, or related industries is a plus.
