Role Overview
As a Junior Data Analyst, you will support data operations by collecting, verifying, and analyzing company data across assigned markets. The role involves working with diverse datasets and ensuring high-quality, reliable data for use in financial research, corporate governance, and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Verification
- Search, collect, and verify basic and intermediate-level data for companies in assigned markets.
- Ensure data collection aligns with established methodologies and policies.
Data Quality and Analysis
- Conduct root-cause analysis for any identified data discrepancies.
- Perform proactive business and data analysis.
- Meet pre-determined turnaround goals for assignments.
Reporting and Documentation
- Update internal documents for monitoring performance metrics.
- Maintain compliance with file retention policies for both paper and electronic records.
Client and Internal Support
- Attend to internal/client queries, ensuring alignment with data methodology.
- Participate in working committees, projects, and additional tasks.
Process Improvement
- Escalate data interpretation issues as needed.
- Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and quality enhancement.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Post-graduation in Finance or Economics.
- Experience in data collection and analysis, corporate governance, or business research is an advantage.
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts and processes.
